Our Story

Welcome to Soma Legacy  where base in a true story we created something that we will carry forever.

My name is Janelis and I am the founder of Soma Legacy,I was 8 years old when I lost my mom. Breast cancer, then melanoma — both before I was old enough to really understand what either word meant. I just knew she was gone, and that the world after her was going to look different than the world before.

For years, I looked for a way to keep her close. Not just in memory, but in something real — something I could build with my hands and carry her name into.

That’s where Soma Legacy came from.

The number 38 is for her. For the years she had, for the bloom she never got to fully see — in herself, and in everything she would have touched if she’d had more time. Every product we make carries that number, quietly, as a reminder: that love doesn’t end when a person does. It just changes shape.

This brand isn’t only about her, though. It’s about everyone who’s lost someone — a mother, a father, a sister, a friend — and is still looking for a way to hold onto them. Soma Legacy is my way of doing that. I hope, in some small way, it can be yours too.

We make clean, honest personal care products because that’s what she deserved, and what I think everyone deserves. But underneath the products is something bigger: a space for remembering. For honoring the people who shaped us, even after they’re gone.
